3 Days Congo Gorilla Tour
Under this safari,the tour starts from Rwanda from where one will be transferred to virunga national park in the democratic republic of congo via Uganda’s border.This park boasts of five families of gorillas with three groups that are most tracked
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kisoro border town in Uganda
You will be picked up from your hotel or airport by the
Uganda-Rwanda border through the scenic view of the beautiful Rwanda’s rolling hills via Ruhengeri in the northern part of Rwanda to Cyanika.Finalize the border arrangements and cross into Uganda where you can enjoy guided nature walks and also visit the natural, beautiful looking lake mutanda surrounded by the volcanoes and also have a walk on it’s shores.Check in for dinner and overnight at Travellers Rest hotel/Kisoro Tourist hotel.Meals here are on F/B basis.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Virunga national park.
Wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast and then drive to Bunagana the Ugandan border with Congo and then cross and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla tracking and from here set off into the forest in parc national des virunga for the actual gorilla tracking.In the course of gorilla tracking you will as well encounter some other primates like golden monkey,blue monkey,black and white colobus monkey,and forest hogs.After one hour of this vigorous exercise of observation and photography,drive back to the hotel in Kisoro Uganda for dinner and overnight.Meals are on F/B basis.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali.
Wake up in the morning and have a relaxed breakfast.Then set off for Kigali in Rwanda making several stops here and there to admire the amazing scenery of Rwanda’s topography.Make numerous photographs and also do some shopping from the local markets.Reach Kigali in the afternoon and that marks the end of the safari.
