1 Day Rwanda Gorilla Tracking
In this one day gorilla safari in Rwanda, you will have a chance to go gorilla tracking in the famous volcanoes national park which is home to the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. This forest has over 10 families of mountain gorillas and it’s only 8 people that are allowed to track each particular family per day. Below is the proposed itinerary for this kind of safari.
You will wake up very early in the morning and then have your breakfast and then you will be picked up by our driver from your hotel and then straight away drive to volcanoes national park in Musanze district. On arrival, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the tracking exercise and allocation of groups. From here you will head to the forest for the actual tracking exercise of these primates starting from where they were left the previous day until you come across them. You will find them doing their daily chores of feeding their young ones, climbing trees and others just relaxing. Take your best photographs having switched off your flash. This whole exercise takes a maximum of 1 hour and then return to the park offices for your gorilla tracking certificate. Then drive back to your hotel in Kigali and that marks the end of the safari.
