2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Safari
A 2 days safari will enable you to go and track mountain gorillas from the famous volcanoes national park. These primates number is conserved by limiting the number of clients to 8 people who can visit a given gorilla family per day. The proposed itinerary for this safari is highlighted;
Day 1: Transfer to Ruhengeri
This is the first day of this safari and you will be picked from your hotel or Kanombe international airport Kigali and with lunch en-route drive to Ruhengeri in the northern Rwandan district of Musanze. While on this long journey, you will see what makes Rwanda the land of seven hills as you will be able to see these hills throughout the journey. You will also visit the memorial genocide at Gisozi and also visit the two twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.You will reach in the evening and check in at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge[luxury],Lap-lame Hotel[mid range]orKinigi Guest House[budget] for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking-Kigali
Rise up very early in the morning and have breakfast and thereafter with your packed lunch proceed to volcanoes national park in Musanze district. Head straight to the park offices for briefing about the gorillas and allocation of gorilla groups and guides. Thereafter get into the tropical rain forest and search for the mountain gorillas starting from where they were the previous day until you find them. You will find them doing their daily chores of feeding their young ones, climbing trees and others just relaxing. Take your best photographs having switched off your flash. This whole exercise takes a maximum of 1 hour and then return to the park offices for your gorilla tracking certificate. Then drive back to your hotel in Kigali and that marks the end of the safari.
