5 Day Gorilla Tour in Rwanda

A 5 day Rwanda gorilla tour will enable you to tour most of the amazing tourist attractions in Rwanda. These attractions will be viewed directly from Kigali all the way to Ruhengeri on the way to Musanze where you will visit volcanoes national park the home of mountain gorillas in Rwanda. The itinerary for this kind of safaris elucidated as below

Day 1: Arrival and city tour

On this day, you will be picked up from Kanombe international airport in Kigali by our ever on time driver and straight away head for a city tour starting from Nyamata memorial genocide site where over 5000people were killed and buried during the 1994 genocide, visit the first house, the national museum, do some shopping and then after wards drive to Ruhengeri and check in at Mountain gorilla view lodge[luxury],La palm hotel[mid range] or Muhabura hotel[budget].Meals here are based on F/B.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking

Rise up very early in the morning and have breakfast and thereafter proceed to volcanoes national park in Musanze district. Head straight to the park offices for briefing about the gorillas and allocation of gorilla groups and guides. Thereafter get into the tropical rain forest and search for the mountain gorillas starting from where they were the previous day until you find them. You will find them doing their daily chores of feeding their young ones, climbing trees and others just relaxing. Take your best photographs having switched off your flash. This whole exercise takes a maximum of 1 hour and then return to the park offices for your gorilla tracking certificate. Return to the hotel for lunch and some relaxation. Afternoon, take a tour to the lake and see the exceptional caves around the lake and take remembrances photos with lots of fun poses near the caves then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Day 3: Dian Fossey hike

This day, you will have an early morning breakfast and coupled with packed lunch go for Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke research centre, where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and conserving the gorillas before she was killed and is buried there next to Digit, a silverback gorilla. You may encounter primates like vervet monkeys, golden monkeys, gorillas on the way to the research centre and then after wards go for volcanic climbing at Karisimbi spending an overnight camping at an altitude of 3800m

Day 4: Volcanic climbing at Bisoke  

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast and then relocate to another volcanic climbing at Bisoke which is one day activity and one is able to experience the difference in African Volcano altitudes then return for dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge [luxury], La palm hotel [mid range] or Muhabura hotel [budget].Meals here are based on H/B

Day 5: Departure day

Rise up not so much early and have a relaxed breakfast and then after wards drive back to Kigali to catch up with the flight back home and bid farewell to the land of seven hills.
